ABANDONED DOG

I work in a warehouse, and when I followed an abandoned dog that visited the same closed store every day, it broke my heart. While I’ve seen a lot of stray animals, Ollie was… different. He would stop by at the same time every day and just gaze with the saddest eyes imaginable at the window of the bike shop. He appeared clean, had a leash, and obviously had a previous owner. How could someone leave this wonderful dog behind? That’s what a callous person does!

My heart was broken. He never ate the meal I gave him. He would simply swallow it and flee. I took him home because I couldn’t stand it. Mila, my girlfriend, was not pleased. She kept saying things like, “Get THAT THING out of here!” since she dislikes dogs. However, I persuaded her to allow him to remain. Ollie continued to rush back to that bike shop window every day, staring at it as if his heart were broken, despite having a warm house and food. What about the food? didn’t eat it yet. Simply snatched it and fled.

 

Yesterday, I reached a breaking point and decided to follow him. He guided me to an old, deserted house. Upon our arrival, Ollie began to dig fervently. Then, out of nowhere, we heard faint, unusual noises emanating from the earth. However, what I witnessed fifteen minutes later utterly broke my heart.💔😨
